Designer Training
I led an initiative that focused on making research more accessible for designers. When it started, Product Researchers were focused on generative and long-term research, which made it difficult for Designers to get their designs validated or to do usability studies.
I started this initiative in late 2025.
Project Overview

Why this Research?
Overall, the purpose of this initiative was to empower Designers to be able to do their own research, as well as to evangelize user research as an important step in the development of the products, which for this team involves dealing with vendors and merchants who oversee putting products and services available for customers
Another added benefit of training designers to perform user research is that Designers can familiarize themselves with more validation testing procedures and empower them to work on their own.
Results
The designers' overall response to the survey was to report ways to conduct more research on their work and to better establish how to improve relationships with the existing Research team. As well as to see how the research team can work better to teach the tools to designer. At the time of the survey writing, designers reported using Figma and Figjam as part of their research toolkit.

Participants reported that one of the main issues that prevented them from doing research was their lack of time in order to provide design deliverables, as well as the lack of confidence/knowledge when it comes to research tools and research methods.
